Heather von Sternberg attended the University of Texas at Austin on a National Merit Scholarship and received her B.B.A. in Marketing.  She then attended the University of Houston Law Center, where she graduated cum laude in 1996. 

Ms. von Sternberg is an experienced trial lawyer and has argued appeals before state appellate courts.  She practices in the areas of commercial litigation, insurance defense and coverage, and personal injury defense.  She advises and represents insurers, both domestic and foreign, as well as their assureds.  Ms. von Sternberg also has experience representing vessel owners, operators, agents, charterers, maritime employers, contractors, and other marine entities in a variety of issues arising under the Jones Act and General Maritime Law.  Ms. von Sternberg is experienced in determining coverage issues pertaining to all aspects of liability and property policies. She has given speeches at continuing legal education seminars and authored articles on insurance coverage and defense issues.

Ms. von Sternberg is admitted to practice in the following jurisdictions: State of Texas, Eastern, Western, and Southern U.S. District Courts of Texas, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Heather is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, and the Texas Exes Alumni Association.
